About Dulce Delights

At Dulce Delights we specialize in creating custom cakes and sweets that are sure to delight.  Whether it’s a baby shower, christening/baptism, half birthday (yes, these are a thing!), birthday, wedding or anniversary, we will work with you to tailor our creations to your event.  In addition to being beautifully designed, we also focus on creating exceptional flavors that have earned us many repeat customers.  Beyond cakes, some of our other tasty delights include cupcakes and cookies. A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Yolanda and I am the owner and cake artist behind Dulce Delights.  Though I have always loved to cook and bake, truth be told, I never imagined I would have a career in baking.  But, aside from writing a great novel someday, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

My earliest baking memories are of making traditional sweets like buñuelos,empanadas and cookies.  When I was younger I was only allowed to gather ingredients for my mom, but as I grew I was able to measure ingredients and eventually I was the one needing the dough.  I have come to adore baking so much because I realize that all the time spent measuring ingredients precisely, baking, assembling, decorating and even eating and enjoying, is also time spent creating memories. This is what I think about when I’m creating a customized cake – the memories that I’m helping to create for my customers.

I began baking cakes and sweet treats, over five years ago, more as a hobby.  I would bake for co-workers during special occasions and for their birthdays.  Eventually I branched off and made cakes for family and friends as well – always trying to perfect my flavor combinations and designs.  As my skills grew, so did the requests.  I found myself making bigger and more elaborate cakes.

When I became a mom, I decided to leave my 9 to 5 job and stay at home with my son.  But, I still had a desire to create beautiful confections. Thus, Dulce Delights grew.  Above all else, I am a mom and I am beyond blessed that I am able to raise my son while running my business from my home.

I am so thankful to my customers for allowing me to be a part of their special celebrations.  It is always magical to see the joy on a customer’s face when they see their customized cake for the first time.
